Elementary schools are closed for the summer. Spring Creek's main office is scheduled to re-open on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The first day of school is Monday, August 26, 2024. The first bell will ring at 8:00 am to let students into the building. The tardy bell will ring at 8:05 am.
No students may be on campus before 7:45 am. The end of the school day is 3:00 pm for all students. A huge thank you ahead of time for being on time for drop-off and pick-up times.

The expectation is that students are on campus prior to 8:00 am so they can line up with their class to enter the building. If you arrive on campus after 8:02 am, please bring your child to the front office.
You can excuse your student through four different resources (include student’s name, date of absence, reason for absence, and when they will return):
1. Call the front office at 307-721-4410
2. Use the Remind app
3. Email jfowler@acsd1.org
4. Use the Attendance Monitor icon through your online PowerSchool Parent Portal (not the PowerSchool app). Click here for instructions or see the Slade website.
• Parents can receive notifications through the PowerSchool app when a student’s attendance changes.
• Students are allowed 10 days of absences per year. After that the student will be marked as unexcused unless a doctor’s note is provided, or a prearranged absence is requested 48 hours in advance.
• Doctor’s appointments are an excused absence with a doctor’s note. Please always request a doctor’s note for appointments and either bring in the paper copy to the front office or have it emailed to jfowler@acsd1.org
• All absences need to be corrected within 72 hours.
• Please call if your student is going to be late to school.
• We are always happy to help answer questions. Please call Mrs. Fowler in the front office at 307-721-4410 anytime.
Temperature:
Spring Creek triangulates the ACSD1 Weather Stations at 804 Skyline Road, Indian Paintbrush School, and Linford School to determine the temperature at Slade. The Weather Stations are located here.
We hold recess inside if temperatures are below zero degrees Fahrenheit with wind chill. Above zero with wind chill and we will hold recess outside.
**Please note that most weather apps use weather information from the Laramie Airport. Conditions at the airport are frequently different than in town. Using the three Weather Station gives a more accurate view of conditions at Slade.
Air Quality:
We use www.purpleair.com and the sensor closest to Spring Creek at War Memorial Stadium. We will hold recess inside if AQI readings are 150 or above.
